A traditional shaker style kitchen in a beautiful country house

Our client on this project wanted a traditional country kitchen to complement their property and reflect their personal style.  They wanted a shaker look with a painted solid wood finish to give a hard wearing and long lasting quality. Whilst the style was classical, we also added a modern breakfast bar/island area to create a natural break between the kitchen and dining area within an open plan room.

Cabinetry

The carcasses of the cabinets were produced in Light Grey Egger MFC and then we created the external doors and finishings from White Ash with a light grey paint applied.

Surfaces

The client chose Antarctica Corian solid surface for their colour option of worktop and matching upstands.

Sinks & Taps

The sink used was an extension of the Corian worktop, so we used a Corian Glacier White 804S Sink.  The taps were supplied by the client.

Appliances

The client supplied their own appliances, but they chose large stainless American Fridge Freezer and Range cooker to enhance the large kitchen.

Finishing Touches

To break up the grey, we incorporate a glazed cupboard with glass shelves for glassware and display.

This was a great classic kitchen to create. It is always nice to use solid wood and painted finishes create beautiful wood effects with bespoke colours.
