On Friday the 14th September, 28 cyclists from Team ride2 & Gav’s Big JOGLE will be reuniting with plenty of cycling! 300 miles coast to coast from Great Yarmouth to Barmouth over 3 days. Though this is not just a social gathering; the riders once again will be raising awareness and much-needed funds for the chosen charities listed.
All the riders will be making their way to Great Yarmouth the day before the beginning of the event by coach with the bikes being loaded into the support vehicle ready for an early start.
Day 1 – Great Yarmouth on the East Coast is the starting point with the goal of reaching Peterborough.
Day 2 – From the hotel in Peterborough, the second leg will be complete with us all arriving in Stafford. Stafford is the hometown for a majority of the team and will be arriving at The Staffordshire Bull from around 5pm. Weather dependent we will be having either a BBQ or ordering in Pizzas, all are welcome to join us.
Day 3 – We will be meeting up at The Staffordshire Bull in the morning to begin the 3rd a final leg of the 300-mile event. Shortly into the ride, we will be crossing the border into Wales. As you can expect, we will be facing some challenging climbs and testing the brakes on the descents riding through Snowdonia; finally, onto arriving at the finish line in Barmouth.
This will be the 5th ride2 event which will be the one setting a new record for the most amount of riders! One of the newcomers to the team this year is our very own managing director Tom Dellicompagni; as an avid triathlete competitor, we are expecting Tom to be right up there with the front pack. ride2 do have a handful of competitive riders, so it should be fun monitoring the updates of all the riders progress throughout the event.

Ride2 Social Media
We would like to thank Richard Tindale, the founder and organiser of all the ride2 events for sharing some kind words in recognition of Dellicompagni UK’s contribution to the event. Dellicompagni UK will be providing a support vehicle for riders that need assistance, setting up various designated refuelling stops and dealing with the logistics of making sure the teams’ bikes arrive safely at the starting point in Great Yarmouth and back home to Stafford.
Dellicompagni is delighted to be able to contribute to the latest ride2 event of which is also funded by every rider taking part meaning every penny donated goes directly to the charities.
